Last week The House of Fairy Tales went to visit a local primary school in Kingston to help invent entire miniature museums. Each group discussed what and why museums were important to them and all decided on their favourites. Music and hobbies lead this group to make the "museum of miniature musical instruments (inspired by our hobbies)" Phew! Take a look at these carefully constructed artefacts...
It really does play!
This miniature wooden bike powers a singing bell. Its also wrapped up very wisely in masking tape. A beautiful xylophone!
A musical shell instrument!
And whats a musical instruments museum without a conductor!
A wonderful Glockenspiel
Music in the making...
WheatSheaf Guitar, first song Over the Rainbow!
Here is the wheatsheaf guitar in action!
I'd say that was a wonderful collection for the museum of miniature musical instruments and you can see them all and more at the Misplaced Museum at Stanley Picker Gallery on 5 February.
